Emran is a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), LeSS (Large Scale Scrum), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant (SPC4), and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certified professional. Emran earned his Bachelors in Business Information Technology with a concentration in Decision Support Systems (BIT-DSS) from Virginia Polytechnic and State University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Conflict Resolution and Negotiation from Hamline University.


Over the past 10 years, Emran has gained a breadth of experience in Information Technology - serving in roles ranging from an IT Auditor, IT Advisory, Business Systems Analyst, Integration Analyst, Information Architect, Project Manager, Program Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile Service Owner, Agile Trainer, and most recently, as an Enterprise Agile Coach. Emran has been engaged with and led efforts in over 25 organizations, many of which are Fortune 500 companies, across seven industries. These include companies such as Ernst & Young, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Target, UnitedHealth Group, Ameriprise, Bank of America, ABN Amro, Freddie Mac, Microsoft, Ford Motor Companies, Educational Credit Management Corporation, Imation, Cargill, SuperValu, Be The Match, Sirva Moving Services, and many others.


For the past few years, Emran has dedicated himself to help enterprises to develop highly engaged and committed agile communities, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and deliver incremental value. He has coached and trained thousands of Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Development Teams to enable agile transformation efforts across the enterprise.


As a successful independent consultant, Emran is a student of human behavior and is actively involved in the community. Emran has served on multiple non-profit boards such as Friends of Africa Education and LifePrep and done pro-bono consulting to organize a suicide prevention fundraiser event in the Twin Cities. Most recently, Emran co-founded and serves on the board of an independent agile user group called Agile Twin Cities to provide agile practitioners with a framework to connect with peers, and foster engineering excellence, agile maturity, and continuous improvement.
